[Opinions] Chrysophie?
I'm getting very annoyed with Dh, because he is determined that none of my 'sophie' variants are approriate, only sophie will do. However, i don't like plain old sophie! It's much, much too common.
What do you think of Chrysophie?
Chrysophia was another possibility.
In greek it means golden wisdom. chrysos and sophia Ugly? Pretty? Too weird?

It's cool, very pretty, very neat. The Greek influence is very evident. I might like Chrysophia more because of that. I'd like to meet one.I meant to reply to your sophie post, but never got around to it. Did people suggest Sophronia and Sophannagh to you? (i think that's how it's spelled?) Sophronia's got a really cool meaning. What about Sophelia, a combination between Sophie and Ophelia?

I tried desperately to sell Sophelia to DHwhen I was pregnant with Sophie, because he wanted the combo Sophia Ophelia, while I wanted Sophia Seraphina, and I knew we'd mostly call her Sophie anyway, which could come just as easily from Sophelia as Sophia. But he wouldn't go for it. Too weird, he said. =PI still like it.

Sophelia is rather appealing.n

Chrysophia sounds better than Chrysophie. I don't think it's ugly, but I can't say I like it. I guess it sounds a bit odd to me.

Where did you find this name? Is it legit? I really like the sound. I think its very pretty. I like Chrysophie best.

It was in a book that had a small section of classical greek personal names written as Chrysophe.
