NMS, but it's got quite a nice sound and I don't see that it's any worse than Taylor or Parker or the other common surname-names. Although if someone told me that was their name, I'd assume it was spelt Parma or Palma.

I didn't think about the whole Palm part of it. However I don't like it on a girl. Use is as a middle name but pick something more feminine. Little girls who aren't all that feminine have a tough time and if they have an unisex name it makes it worse.

Palmer is a town here in Alaska. It also sounds a bit like someone that, well, shall we say is really into self love.
