It's ok - I used to dislike it more. It's a name I feel I should like more though. Not as popular as it used to be. I say EE-mur as does every Emer/Eimear I've ever met.
It has always goven me an image of a gangley, freckly girl with reddish/fair hair who is very sporty and a bit loud.
