I was looking for a name to use that could have the nickname Nell and someone mentioned Nella. I think this is really nice but I'm wondering, does it sound trendy because of the Ella trend? Or do you think it would still be a relatively unused name?

I don't think it sounds trendy. Nella is my younger sister's favorite name and what she wants to name her first daughter.

It sounds like NN for Antonella, or something. I don't care for it; I think it *does* sound like Ella, and I never liked Ella. It sounds unfinished.

I don't think it sounds trendy and all. It is nice, but I still prefer Nell.

I think I mentioned Nella. As of now, I don't think it'll become popular, in spite of its similarity to Ella. In truth, I don't think most people even know Nella is a name, so I wouldn't worry about it.
