Matisyahu is a Yiddish form of Matityahu. Obviously Matityahu had no English name since he didn't live in England!!! He was never called anything else than Matityahu.

I agree, and furthermore I think it's nonsensical to suggest that the name Matthew (in that form, as opposed to Hebrew and Greek forms) existed *at all* until Christianity spread to England. Certainly we have no evidence for the name Matthew in the second century BC!
