[Facts] JYE - Does anyone know the meaning of this name?
I posted a message 17/1/01 re my son's name "Jye". Still haven't had any response. If anyone knows the mean of "Jye" and where this name comes from I would love to hear from you. I have seen a more common spelling as "Jai". Thanks. Janine .

I'm just lurking, searching for the meaning of Jye as well.
Was sent to this website via a search engine. I have found the meaning of Jye if anyone is still interested. Here it is:
Jye is of Sikh origin and means 'Victorious'
Jye is productive and progressive
His drive to succeed is great
He makes a superb confidant or mate
His practical and reliable nature is his solace
He often depends on his charm
He manifests a strong desire to be first
He is magnetically drawn towards banter
He is both a pragmatist and idealist
Idealism permeates everything he does
The drive for freedom works positively for
So there you go, sounds great to me. If my next baby is a boy, then Jye it is.

The first name of Jye creates a dual nature for, on the one hand, you desire change and varied experiences in order to avoid monotony, and yet you are attuned to system, order, and attention to detail. You can be very analytical, exacting, and patient in your undertakings until your interest is exhausted, at which time you switch to something else even though it means leaving your undertakings unfinished. This name makes you inquisitive and scientific in your approach to life, requiring everything to be proved to satisfy your skepticism. You can be a stickler for detail, and very fussy and particular. As spontaneous verbal expression can be difficult for you, you often feel awkward and embarrassed in situations requiring tact and diplomacy. This name creates strong physical desires, such as an appetite for heavy, starchy foods and meat. Tension affecting the solar plexus and digestive organs could lead to ulcers, growths, or constipation.

Very likely. As our family proctologist is fond of saying, "All things must pass."
You wouldn't be related to Jo , would you? ;)
Since you haven't gotten an answer to your query since January, it's probably because no one here knows what "Jye" or "Jai" means, either.
Or, more likely, it could be because you didn't post enough background information to help us out -- which is requested at the top of the page every time you hit the "Post a Message" button.
You could start by telling us where you got that name from.

JYE=JAI=JAY?
I mean if a more common spelling of it is, as stated, Jai
then JYE could be=JAY . In older english i is some times a y
like in the writ of Fyre and steel.
Jay is a rather common bird which can be looked up in any well asorted dictionary. I even know a person named Jay myself so why not.
