Sounds like someone's trying to hard to take a normal name and make it different, but it just sounds ugly.

Thats where I heard the name for a little boy was on tv. On a show called "I didn't know I was pregnant". Is that where you heard it too?

Kind of cool, but mostly for a character. Is it prn like LATH-an, or does it rhyme with Nathan?

Meh, I don't really like it. Laith is kinda a cool nn, but Lathan looks silly to me and sounds like someone mixed Lance and Nathan or something.

Lathan? Really? It reminds me of the word 'lathe', which is pretty gruesome.
