[Facts] Franciszek
Is the pronunciation in the database right? I'd think that if the C were supposed to be like CH, then it would be spelled CZ, but I could be wrong. I tried googling it, but all that came up was a lot of stuff about Chopin. How is Franciszek pronounced? If I know how to say it, I just know I'm going to start liking it. :-)
TIA!!

C followed by I makes a ch sound like in cheek. Cz is a slightly different sound. The only thing that isn't completely correct in the link is the last syllable. It's very close but not exact. I don't know of any way to replicate the sound in English though.
It's ok about the last syllable - I know a Pole and I'll ask him the next time I see him. Thanks for the confirmation about the second syllable though - I now fully like this name. :)

Kirke is absolutely right about the pronunciation :) The most common diminutive I hear for this name is Franek. I believe there are others, but I can't remember them.
Ok, thank you so much!
