[Opinions] Re: Hermione
in reply to a message by Lily8
Do you think it's usable? Or should it stay a GP? Does it make you think of Harry Potter immediately?
-Yes i think it's a usable name but i think of HP immediately but thats not a bad thing i like her character (One reason i'm considering Emma because of her :) )
Do you think it'll get more common? Do you know anyone with the name?
-I think it'll get a little more popular but imo it'll not make in the Top 100
How do you pr. it?
-Hermione: her-MEE-o-nee (kind of like that)
-Hermine: Her-MEE-neh
What do you think of Hermine? It's her name in the German version of the books and it's pr. her-MEE-neh.
-I prefer it over Hermione but maybe just because i'm German and Hermione is just looks and sounds weird to me (I read the books in German and watched the movies in English)
I would consider Hermine as a MN (since my DH name is Herman)
One of my neigbour moms (in Germany) name was Hermine. She was a very nice person and everybody liked her alot.
