I dislike the Beatles so much that I'd almost rather see a Lenin than Lennon, honestly. And that's saying a lot.

The lead singer of Oasis (british rock band) Liam Gallagher named his son Lennon Francis (after John Lennon) I prefer this name for a boy

I love it for a girl. Very cute!! For a boy, it's a bit weak sounding, imo. Though, I think because of John Lennon, it could be a good mn.

I know a little boy named Lennon.
It's okay, in my opinion.

I love it, and if I used it, it'd be after John Lennon. I really like Len and Lenny as nicknames.(However, since I prefer Elenor/Elenore with the nickname Lennie, I'd be more likely to use that than Lennon.)Array

The sound is lovely, but it screams "John Lennon" to me, which is just distracting. Because he had the generic non-name John, the name that really sticks in our minds as his is Lennon._____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

I agreeLennon = John Lennon to most people certainly here in England. If your ok with that, its a nice enough name. Personally I wouldn't use it.~ ☼ ~ Evy ~ ☼ ~

I can imagine it... ;-)Seriously.. I think it'd work. Sure people would think of John L, but he's been dead long enough I don't think it is weird. For a kid born today, it'd be likely the parents were born well after JL's death, and that'd make it much less fan-y and more tribute-y and surname-y, to me.Possible problem: sounds just like Lenin in some accents.- chazda

Aside from the obvious reference to John Lennon, I also think of "Lemon".But it is such an obvious reference to the Beatles that it sounds dated, imo.

I don't really like the Beatles and in this day and age you really couldn't use it without people thinking of John Lennon. As far as the name itself, I think it's cute. I think of it as a girl name though, it's a little soft to be masculine...but not too masculine to be unfeminine. Does that make sense?"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

I used to like it for a boy more, but my best friend told me she wanted to name her first daughter Lennon. I hadn't thought of it for a girl before, but I really like it.I do think it works for both sexes though.Jamy })i({

I agree. And using it on a girl would reduce the Beatles connotation, for me._____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'
