[Opinions] Emerly
I saw this name written on the back of a pickup truck. It said, "EMERLY'S HAVING A BABY!!!" in huge, yellow letters. I'm not sure why someone would advertise that kind of thing on the back of their truck, but then, I never understood people.
So anyway, WDYT? I think it sounds like someone with a thick, indefinable accent is trying to say Emily. It's a little weird.

It's horrid. It reminds me of an emery board, or indeed Emily with a slurred accent.
I find it awkward to say. Some where between trying to say "I'm early" too quickly and a combination of Emerson and Emily.
It sounds quite ugly to me, and I agree with Meganet22's comment. (haha!)
Eeew, why would anyone put THAT on their truck? I've heard of putting "Just Married" or "Graduate of (insert year here)" but *that* would just be humiliating!

kind of sounds like a drunk person slurring Emily
It's okay. Not amazing, but not horrible. I'd rather see a girl named Emerly than a girl named Emerson.
You've got a point. I never thought Emerson sounded the least bit feminine.
Sounds ugly to me.
...And why did they put "EMERLY'S HAVING A BABY!!!" on the back of a pickup truck?! That sounds odd to me.

Your guess is as good as mine. Some people advertise every little event in their lives on the back of their cars.
I don't like it. It sounds like someone wanted to "spice up" Emily, so they stuck an ugly r in the middle.
