I prefer JosieJodie is a little clunky for me, while Josie seems sweeter. I'm also strangely more used to Jody as a male name - I know only one female Jodie, but two or three male Jodys.

I've never cared for Jodie/Jodi. I can't put my finger on why, I just don't find it appealing at all. And I usually like -ee names.

I think it's cute. Very bright and bubbly. I was friends with a Jodi in college and she was a really nice person, so I have good associations with it.

This is one of my most hated names ever. It sounds nicknamey, for one thing, and indeed I believe it started out as a nickname for Joan. But besides that, I just think it's terribly ugly and unfeminine. And it reminds me of the pig in "The Amityville Horror."

I like it, but I think it sounds like a nickname (I'm not sure if it is or isn't). I think it makes a nice nickname for Josephine or other Jo- names.

I think it's alright, nothing to special IMO but it's nice enough. I very much doubt I would ever use it but it's fine on someone else's kid. =)

As a nick-name,it's fine..spunky, energetic.
I don't think I'd use it as a formal name, though.

Well, this sure is funny. I've been on here for a while now and this is the first time I've seen my name on the message boards. Very cool. I never used to like it, but it's growing on me more lately. Mine is Jodi with no e, and it has always irked me that people seem to want to spell it 'ie' or 'y'. My parents waffled between Jodi (fn) Rae (mn) and Jodi-Rae (fn) and I've always wished they would have hyphenated it. I like my nicknames: Jod and Jo.

I think its boring and outdated.

This is my cousin's name, I dislike it.However I like Jody (this spelling), but only for a boy.

It's cute, but I prefer it as a nickname. Nice for boys, too, but that's probably because I love "the Crying Game."

I like it quite a lot, but I like Jodi more. I don't like it so much as a full name, but I'd use it as a nn for Josephine.
