How do you pronounce CATELINE?
Well, if I'd use it, I'd pronounce it kaht-LEEN. If I saw it on someone else, I'd assume KAYT-lin.
How do you pronounce Caitlin? What about Caitlín?
Caitlin = KAYT-lin (except maybe if I knew the person was from Ireland), Caitlín = kaht-LEEN
Do you think it's wrong to pronounce Caitlin as KATE-lyn? What about Caitlín?
I guess technically it is wrong (?!) but it's become so common that I really don't think about it. Caitlín would be weird pronounced KAYT-lin, I mean, it even has the Irish fada and all, so I don't know why it would be pronounced the English way.
What do you think of Cateline?

What do you think of HAY-lee, KATE-lyn, KAY-lee and KAY-lyn? Do you see them as trashy, trendy, cute, strong what is your first impression?
I think they're boring, boring, boring, incredibly insubstantial and BLAH. I'm so sick and tired of KAY- names I can't even put it into words. Plus, they're all so cutesy. I like Hayley slightly better than the other ones because I have a friend who has a daughter with that name (spelt Hailey) but otherwise I wouldn't like it either.
How many people do you know with the names I listed above? How do you see them spelled most often?
Just one Hailey and one Katelyn.
