Help[Opinions] Rida
I posted earlier on the name facts board but didn't get any responses so I thought I'd try the more popular name opinions board... WDYT of Rida (m)? Do you know how to pronounce it? It's arabic and my friend's name. I don't know for sure how to pronounce it, and he says it doesn't matter how I say it, though I'd like to get it right. Any one know for sure? Thank you very much :)

I'd pronounce it "Rih-Dah," but that's based on my own American English, and no knowledge of Arabic pronunciation. It sounds like a contraction of "rid of" like "Hey, get rida that trash, will ya?"

Ah okay thanks! I think that might be it. That's a good way to remember it if you're right. I'll have to listen to other people say his name but I think that's right :)
