What do you think of Ashok for a boy? I think it's one of the Indian names that works well in English speaking countries and his nickname could be Ash.

Do many of the Ashleys/Ashlyns you know go by Ash? Do you see it as a feminine nickname?

I like Ashok, but love Ashoka (I met the cutest little Ashoka this Summer). Ash is a great nickname and exclusively male to me.

Ashok doesn't strike me as being one of those Indian names that would translate well to an Anglo country, outside of its nn, Ash. How would you prn Ashok?

Ash strikes me as very masculine; wasn't that the boy's name from Pokemon? That's probably why.

Yeah Ash was in Pokemon, Ash Kechem :)

I used to love Pokemon until they got rid of Misty.
