[Opinions] Cathern
It's an antiquated (creative, or error-based? but occasionally used) spelling of Catherine. I saw it on a recent BA from the center where my kids were born.
Pronounced just like it looks. WDYT?

Not an improvement over Catherine. I can't quite understand why it would be used when Catherine (or, IMO, Katherine) is available.
I figured it was a typo, honestly. It rather looks like Catherine was a direction, like southern or western. Sounds awkward to my as well.
You are right, it does sound like a direction. Plus, it looks and sounds rather masculine to me.
So I really can't say I like it...

I didn't even realized that it was supposed to be Catherine. I don't like it, it reminds me of cathedral.
