[Facts] The name Tauney
The name Tauney orginates from the english version of Tawny , "light brown." If you spell it Tauney, it becomes a sorority name with the feminine groups such as Taffy. Tauney means Sweetness, Sexiness, light brown, goldish tan, and extreme sex appeal.
Has anyone ever heard of this name? It is my name.. Tell me how you like it.

"Tauney" could also be easily taken for a diminutive of "Antaunette" -- which is just one of the many of modern variations in spelling of "Antoinette ".
In the U.K., "Taffy" is a mildly derogative word for a Welshman.
I personally like your name for three reasons:
#1 "Tauney" has 6 letters, which qualifies it as a Satanic name.
#2 "Antaunette" is a feminine form of "Anton ", and Anton LaVey was the founder of the Church of Satan.
#3 The meaning that you gave for your name is also quite appropriate for a Satanist. Even the "sweetness" part, coz Satanists can be sweet, too. ;)
I dunno if you're still going to like your name as much after all that, but *I* like you name. :)

Hex-Sex : Some random thoughts...
The number "six" is derived from the Greek word "hex" which in Latin became "sex". A long shot, but could the Latin "sexus" be related to the number "six"? What a sexy possibility!

What nasty comparisons
What a collection of nasty comparisons even if it is meant as a jest.
I do however think 6 must either represent the six days of creation or else perfection (1+2+3). The number of anti-christ is 666.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
(Revelation 13, 18)
I also think satan and anti christ should be considered as two different entities.

I understood that 6 was considered to be an evil number, since it is one shy of the "perfect" number 7 and half of the "perfect" number 12. In Revelation we have 7 angels, 7 trumpets, 7 churches, etc, as well as 12 gates, 12000 from each tribe of the Jews, etc (not too mention the 12 apostles of the NT and the 12 Jewish tribes of the OT).
Six Appeal...
Actually, the whole thing about 6-letter names being "Satanic" is entirely a Nanaea invention. :) Back in December I posted my concept of what comprises a "Satanic name" -- a first, middle, and last name with each consisting of 6 letters. So that the resulting name came out in a 6-6-6 style (traditional Number of the Beast).
So, in order for *you* to proudly bear a Satanic name of your very own, Mike, we'd have to slightly change your name to: Mykael (6 letters!) - something - Cambel (6 letters!)
So, what *is* your middle name, anyway? Just curious. :)

..Mykael Dyllan Cambel
..Mykael Dyllan Cambel
before the other anagrammers get to it....
I am "lamely, blackly named" Mykael Dyllan Cambel. (not meaning to insult your Satanic naming method, Nan ;)

Number 6
I think you are right Mike and I know that some interpreters have said the same, but the number 6 is also used positivly in revelation:
"And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come."
(revelation 4, 8)
Therefore I am not sure that it is right to see 6 as an entirely "bad" number in revelation.
As I also tried to point out (perhaps a little clumsy:) the number 6
is found other places in the bibel where it is truly not a "bad" number. On the contrary it is a good number. Such as the six days of creation:
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
(Genesis 1, 31)

There is a theory that the number 666 was significant to John not only because Hebrew *Qsr Nrwn* (Emperor Nero) adds to 666, but also because the beast (ie emperor) claimed divinity even though in reality his numbers came up short of divine 7.
Another theory that I just found online states that 6 was considered undivine because it was the day mortal man was created.
But you are right that 6 is used positively in several places in the bible.

Nastiness is in the eye of the beholder.

As long as we think of nasty as opposite to beauty then I agree.

Beauty, too, exists in the eye of the beholder. And a subjective eye misses much in this world. An objective eye sees more.

wow, this is an interesting topic or topics. But I actually used to like the number six. Maybe cause I had to many fives around me. My full name before I got married had five letters in each part. Diana Marie LeMay. My husband changed that when I got married, Wagner which is 6 letters. But now I am not into 6 anymore. Though I do like even numbers! But I dont have anything to add to the whole 6 thing. I dont know that much about the bible, well at least not anymore!

Well, if you ever decide you'd like to sport a 6-6-6 name of your very own, you could always call yourself "Dianna Mariah Wagner". ;)
I see you like using that Native American name I anagrammed for you, Diana . If you get tired of that, I've got a few more for you. Wine seems to have some close associations with your name -- you must be an intoxicating individual! :)
"Diana Maria Wagner"=
"Wagnerian Madeira"
"Amara Inga Redwine"
"Mara Gardenia Wine"
"Amaira Winegarden" (my favorite)

Nothing wrong with sex ;)
Yet sex and sexual appeal is power and as with all other kinds of power one must take care that one does not misuse it or let it be misused by others.
