isn't it? I once read it was her husband's surname.Lou is cute but insubstantial. I wish they'd given her a longer first name like Louane or something, or Luana as they did with their other daughter, Helene "Leni".Congrats!

Oh thank god!That's great to hear.I still don't like Lou. I never knew Leni's full name was Helene. If so, Lou really did luck out. Helene "Leni", Henry, Johan and Lou? Man did they drop the ball on this one!Still, at least it's not a girl Samuel!

YES. I just checked.It's her surname! From Wikipedia: On October 5 2009 Klum filed a petition to change her name to Heidi Samuel.
--Also, looking at her other kids names, I feel like her name MIGHT, hopefully, be Louisa or something, and they're calling her Lou. Leni's first name is actually Helene.

I'm hoping for Louane with the French pr. or Luana :P Though Louane is the French Caitlin (several spellings of it make the top 100 and there are so many ways to spell it), you could say. Still I love it (and Caitlin) :P
