[Opinions] Ceylan
Saw this name and really liked it, I think it's a variant of CAOILFHIONN. What do you think?

The version I saw was feminine.

it's a turkish feminine name and pronounced as jai-lan.it means gazelle
Reminds me of Ceylon - I want to say it Say-lan as opposed to Kay-lan. How was it said?
Reminds me of Ceylon

It's not a bad association (though at first I thought it was Cylon, the bad guys from Battlestar Galactica), but there is something very crayony about the name. Waxy. Makes me think of a very flat, kindergarten-type of green.

I only know Ceylan as a Turkish name, and I think it's alright. Not a favourite but I don't mind it either.
Given that it's a variant of CAOILFHIONN, how is it pronounced in this case?

Isn't there a type of tea with this name? It also reminds me of Ceylon, an older name for Sri Lanka.
How is it pronounced? Is it masculine of feminine?
