[Opinions] Choosing a Scottish name - please help
Hi,
My wife and I are expecting our first child in January. We don't know what the sex of the baby is but would like a Scottish name either way. I am Scottish, my wife is Australian but of Scottish descent.
Names we like so far are as follows:
Boys - CUILLIN, LOCHLANN, STRUAN, LENNOX.
Girls - MAISIE, AILSA, CAIOMHE, BONNIE.
Our surname is Brown.
Thanks for any assistance.

Struan, by a country mile! And for a girl, Ailsa. Or Maisie, but I'd prefer a more formal name like Margaret, nn Maisie (and Margaret has also got a proud Scottish tradition, as you know). Please avoid Bonnie; I see what you mean, but it's dreadfully trite for a human, especially with Brown. (I had a Scottish terrier called Bonnie once, so that might be affecting my judgement.)
