I'm probably the only one who dislikes this name, and I dislike it a lot. It sounds pretentious and frilly in a bad way to me, and I really dislike the Cord- part. It makes me think of umblical cords, electric cables and strangulation.

I'm sorry, but this is one of the few names I actually hate.

ITA about its frilliness and pretentiousness. Cordelia sounds more like the name of the heroine in a 19th century romance novel than a modern girl. It's not the Cord- part that gets me, it's -elia. I hate almost any name that ends with that sound.
