[Opinions] Re: Loveday
in reply to a message by Bear
I could see Loveday being used if it was a name in you family's lineage. I think it does take a while for one to see it in a new light ;) I see Loveday being paired with something older sounding.Alberta Loveday
Arden Loveday
Beatrice Loveday
Concordia Loveday
Cornelia Loveday (how appropriate Cornwall, Cornelia lol)
Cordelia Loveday
Catherine Loveday
Dorcas Loveday
Eden Loveday
Esther Loveday
Iphigenia Loveday
Jerusha Loveday
Miriam Loveday
Persis Loveday
Zillah Loveday

Iphigenia Loveday? Did you do that knowing my fascination with Iphigenia? If not, it was a perceptive choice. As much as I adore Cornelia over Cordelia, and as much as I admire your effort to connect with Cornwall, Cordelia Loveday is the winner here. The ancient English tale of King Lear coupled with an old Cornish name like Loefdaeg / Loveday is truly inspired. That my just be *the* combo.

LOL!Nope, no clue! It just occured to me :) Glad you liked Cordelia. I really like the name but, alas, it is not meant to be as our last name is a distant cousin to Cornwall ... and that would just be silly :P Plus, DH's ex's name is "Delia" ... :/
