Emmii Faeie Jinxx is a one-year-old girl from Colorado. Her mother was just fifteen when Emmii was born, and ran away, thinking she could raise the baby on her own without her parents finding out about her pregnancy, but after a difficult birth and a miserable first few weeks she decided that at this stage she couldn't look after the baby. If possible, she would like to contact Emmii when she is older. Emmii loves pink things and fairies. Feel free to change her name!
Antonio Amos is a seven-year-old boy from Naples, Italy. He was raised in a strict Roman Catholic family, and his parents died in a house fire two years ago. Antonio is very quiet, and loves art, animals and his dog Rex, whom he would like to bring with him to his new home. Antonia speaks only Italian, but is keen to learn English.
Lilly Raine is a twelve-year-old girl from Canada. She was abused sexually by her father and physically by her stepmother, and suffers from panic attacks, anxiety and period bouts of depression. Lilly enjoys music, and has always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument. For the past year, she has been in care, where she met Karl.
Linwood Karl, who goes by his middle name, is a fourteen-year-old boy. He was born in England, but was raised by his Roman Catholic grandmother in Canada. Unfortunately, she passed away two years ago, and he was taken into care, where he met Lilly, his best friend. Karl has Asperger's Syndrome. He plays the saxophone, and loves music, classic literature and being with Lilly.

We decided to change Emmii's name to Emmeline Faye, though we still call her Emmy. She is very happy with us, especially in her bedroom. We let her "help" decorate. It is pink with fairies painted on the walls. We are in contact with her birth mother, who visits once every few months.
Antonio settled in quickly. He is beginning to be fluent in English. We let him keep Rex. Antonio is now enrolled in art classes at a local fine arts school. He enjoys them very much and loves to show us his creations, especially anything with pastels.
Lilly took a while to trust us, but has adjusted great. She attends therapy occasionally, which we think has helped her. She and Karl have made several new friends together. Lilly has also been learning how to play the clarinet and cannot wait to join the school band when she gets into high school.
Karl is, with Lilly's help, doing very well. He has made some more friends and joined the band at his high school. His classic literature collection has greatly expanded, and he likes to spend some time every day reading.
