Sofia "Sonya" is an eight-year-old girl from Russia. Her parents were killed recently, but Sonya maintains a positive outlook, mostly thanks to her strong Christian faith. Sonya loves cooking and sports, and speaks some English, though is keen and able to learn other languages too.
Isaac Edwin and Molly Maude are siblings from London, England - Isaac is nine, Molly is five. Their parents were abusive, so lost custody of Isaac and Molly. Both are very intelligent - Isaac is generally top of his class in everything, especially maths, and Molly has very advanced skills in reading, writing and art for her age. Because of their troubled past, both have mild emotional difficulties. Isaac is also partially deaf. They are quite close, and Molly likes to boss Isaac around.
Benigno Beppe is a three-year-old boy from Italy. His parents were too poor to care for him and his siblings, but would like him to remain in contact with his family - particularly his mother, father and older sister Fausta. Benigno, who is frequently called "Ben", loves sports, animals and being outside, and would like to bring his pet lizard Elmo with him to his new home.

Thank you!
Our four new children has adapted well into living with us. Sonya has learnt bits of both English and Italian (which she thinks was fun, not to mention helpful). She has shown a talent in gymnastics, and has since been learning it and progressing excellently. She is very close to Gabriella and they often cook and read together, her favourite book being Pollyanna.
Isaac is also getting along well. With some help, he has been able to hear very well without a hearing aid, although he has chosen to employ the hearing aid anyway. It took some time for him to accept the fact that we will be his parents, moreso to heal his emotional scars. He had a few difficulties in Italian, but is now back again to the top of the class - especially maths.
Molly Maude is definitely a bright candle in our lives. He cheerfulness and sheer joy has become contagious recently, even to Ben, who can barely understand what her chattering is all about. She just began learning Italian, and enjoys pestering Gabriella by asking "like that?" again and again while repeating the same phrase. She also likes to follow and try to push my wheelchair around.
Ben is growing up fast and well. He has began his education of, unlike the rest of his siblings, English. Every once in a while, we set up lunch meetings with Ben's family. He loves the entire family a lot, including Carmie, and has shown a great interest in me. And most of all, he has revealed his desire to be a football player. So be it.
