[Facts] Re: baby name meaning

This is just based on conjecture, but if you look up Harley, it is from two parts 'hara' meaning hare and 'leah' meaning 'clearing'. Ma could be old english for 'my', like in the name Madonna, meaning 'my lady.
So all in all, the name comes out to 'my hare clearing'
Sometimes the prefix Mac/Mc evolves to just 'Ma' in a name, meaning 'son of', or in this case 'son of hare clearing', but don't worry about the male implications. There are lots of girls named Makenzie.
Best of luck.
