Lucy hands down. It feels like a real name with a history, Lux looks like a brand.

A quirky, earthy young woman.

I can't really imagine it on a person.
4.) Do you think the names are too similar to be used in the same story?
Definitely. It would be confusing. I'd also assume that there is some symbolic reason for the similarity.
