I like it a lot.
It is my great-grandmother's name, as I have mentioned. She was La Fern Mary (Mary after her mother), but did not use the "La" prefix, which was trendy at the time. She also had a twin sister named Laverne (not sure about that spelling), who died young. She did pass the "La" on to her daughter, La Rene (pronounced REEN) though.
