I liked it a long time ago when I was about 12. Then for a few years I couldn't stand it. Now I am back to loving it. It's a very preppy sounding name to me because it is so surname-y. I think it should be paired with a classic male middle name to balance it out. Cooper Matthew
Cooper William
Cooper James
Cooper Andrew
Cooper Michael
Cooper David
Cooper Elliot
Cooper Nathaniel
Cooper Anthony
Cooper Edward
Cooper John

I like the classic middle name idea.
I noticed they sounded better when I was looking through the list Rachel Shaina gave me last night.I think these are my favourites.

I used to kind of like it when I was little, but now I know a dog named Cooper who's really annoying and barks all the freakin' time in the summer... I can only think of what Cooper rhymes with. Sorry!

I really don't like it as a given name at all. The sound of 'coup' is unpleasant to me.

It used to remind me of a chicken coop, actually.
That's why I hated it.haha.
