[Opinions] Suzanne
What do you think of Suzanne nn Susie? And wdyto Susan, Susannah and Suzette? Sue?I think Susie could be the new Maddie in a few years. I can see all Su-names rising quickly in about 8-10 years or so. They have a lovely meaning and Susie is really cute. Or Sukie.Opinions? Ready for a comeback or not?

I adore Susannah (Susanna) but find Suzanne to be somewhat dated although it's not bad. Susan really bores me -- very dated. Suzette is ok (my dh's cousin). Susie is adorable but Sue is just too "down home" for my tastes. Sukie is ok. My fave nn for Susanna is Suzu or Zuzu (not that I'd want to be called that outside my immediate family). ;-)

I love Suzanne, in fact it's the only of the Susan related names that I really like. It's my great grandmother's name and I'd consider using it. I like Sue and Suzie as nicknames, Suzette is really dated and too reminiscent of a song (and pancakes).Susannah is not bad either but then I would rather use Shoshannah.

It's my mother's name, so I like it.

I like Suzanne, Susanna and Susan, and don't mind Suzette. My sister is a Susanna who has always really hated Susie and Sue, so I've kind of got used to hating them on her behalf.

I love the nn Susie -- so cute. Sukie and Zuzu too. (Anyone recall Zuzu's petals in "It's a Wonderful Life?")But the "z" in Suzanne has always felt cheap to me. I prefer Susan, Susanne, or Susanna(h). Susie et al. are definitely ready for a comeback.

I like Susan and Susannah (or Susanna). Sue is too dated and Suzette sounds like a cleaning product... Another Su- name I like is Suellen.
I'm not sure about Susie... I'm not fond of nicknames, I dislike most of them, especially if they end with -ie...

I love Susannah, but I hate Sue and Susan. Too dated I guess. I could see Suzie becoming popular.

A good friend of mine is a Suzanna. I'm partial to that spelling. She uses the NN Zanna, which is interesting and less common, without being too out there.

I like Suzanne and Susan, not so much Suzette. But I really dislike Suzie, though maybe not as much as Sue.

I love Suzanne and Susannah but am not very fond of the others. I think Susan isn't quite ready for a comeback yet and ette feels like a dated diminutive form. -elle is much more useable right now and that doesn't exactly work with Sus

Susannah is my favourite of the lot, but I'd probably only end up using Susan, it's very sweet and not too ott, imo. Susie is adorable too, it's on of my personal faves at the moment.
