[Opinions] ALASKA
In the book Looking for Alaska by John Green, there's a girl named Alaska. What do you think?

As in a baked Alaska pie? No thanks.
Well, I've herd better and I've heard worse...
Not my style but it would be kinda cool to meet an Alaska when you think about it

lol!
Nothing to do with your post, really, but my Mom accidently called my sister in-law, Tabatha, Alaska the other day for no apparent reason. We had quite a laugh.
I think it'd be kinda silly in real life, same as I would any other state name, but in theory it is pretty cool. It has a spark about it.

I used to call myself for different US states on MSN a while back. For six months or something I went by Alaska and I really like it!
It's interesting for a state name, but I wouldn't use it, personally.
I kind of had a crush on the name Alaska for years ...
It's not that bad, because you could have the nn Ally.
I know a boy named Kansas, so Alaska seems O.K.
It seems to work with some states and not others..you rarely find people wanting to name their child Vermont, for example.
I'm Canadian-we don't tend to name children after provinces, too clunky sounding. Though Alberta would be accepltable, and I went to school with a girl whose middle name was Alberta.

And I was thinking of putting Newfoundland and Nunavit on my list of gps. lol.
We tend to frown on the usage of all caps in subject lines.
