[Opinions] Arrow
What do you think of Arrow as a boys name? Does it work? Does it need a different spelling? Let me know what you think of it.

Arrow and his brother Beau?

It reminds me of the dog from 'The Point'. I just can't imagine it on a person...

I don't like it I'm afraid.

I really like it., as is (:

It's just a random word. I don't know why it should be used as a name.

If I heard it on a child, I wouldn't be able to get the Harry Nilsson song out of my head. "Me and my Arrow . . . straighter than narrow . . ." Personally, I would like it. But only because it'd bring the song to mind.

Why would you name your kids after a weapon? I realize it has very romantic connotations now, but it doesn't seem much different from calling your kid Gun or Bomb.

Oh hmm I never even thought of it as a weapon name. I guess it is though. Huh.

Well, I know dogs and horses named Bullet...Admittedly not humans though. I think Arrow would be a good dog name, and maybe horse name (or nn).

Another... ditto.

another dittoIt just sounds like Cutter or Blade, one of those macho-man somewhat phallic names.

I agree.I think that you could also have your child be given the reputation of a violent child.

I like it. I think it totally works, though the more I look at it the more I like it as a girl's name too - something about it has a lovely delicately curving yew-wood elegance to it.
