Way back in highschool, our home economics and social studies teacher's first name was Una. She was Irish but had lived in Africa most of her life. She was a very harsh task mistress!

No I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either.
Yes, I think it is usable today. When you have children named La'kei'sha, and Jaykeb - Una is a walk in the park.
Yes, I think it would be taken seriously - it's a normal name, just not one you hear very often. I don't think it is odd or out there at all.
Names I would probably pair with it; Ciara (Prn Keera), Patrick, and Irish kind of names.
