[Opinions] Veruska
I met a Veruska today. She was in her 40s. I'm not sure how I feel about the name as a name, but it was definitely refreshing to see.

It's interesting. I keep wanting to pronounce it Verushka - that "shh" sound keeps wanting to sneak in.
I tend to like girls' names that start with a V, but I don't like this one. It sounds like verruca, the medical term for a wart.
It's strange, but it has a sort of ring to it. Not my style, though.
I read it as Veruka at first. Not the greatest first impression of a name to get.
However, once you get past that it's actually quite a nice name, in an other-worldly kind of way.

I usually love Russian names and their diminutives, Veruska is not the greatest, but it's nice in a foreign way, if it were spelt Verushka, I would like it a bit more. I believe it's a diminutive or nickname for Veronika.

Reminds me of Veruca.
