I much prefer Beatrix and that basically all comes down to Beatrix Potter! I do prefer the sound of Beatrix to Beatrice too. Lucy Beatrix is so sweet and comforting, so that would be my fave combo.

I prefer Beatrice (it has the great association with the characters from "Much Ado About Nothing" and "The Divine Comedy"!)

Beatrix Helene (heh-LAYN) is usually my favorite combo with it, but sometimes it's Beatrix Lenore, Beatrix Lilou, or Beatrix June.

Although I love both names, I prefer Beatrice, which I consider more timeless and elegant than Beatrix.

Beatrice for me all the way. It's softer and kinder, and you can't make Trixie out of it, which sounds like a chihuahua to me. Betrys is also nice.

To be honest, I'd use either of them in a heartbeat, but Beatrix has been my #1 name for quite a while now. I prefer it to Beatrice mainly because it seems more versatile; a girl named Beatrice might resent having an "old-fashioned" name for a few years, but Beatrix seems like a name that a lot of different personalites could pull off. There are also a ton of nn options. I'd probably call my daughter Bea (bay-ah), but she could also go with something like Bee, Trixie, etc. if they suited her better. Compared to Beatrice, Beatrix has so much more strength and energy as well without losing any elegance. I'm just utterly enamoured of it.

My favorite Beatrix combo is Beatrix Lily Constance. Others I've toyed with for a while are Beatrix Gwendolyn or Beatrix Maria Victoria. Beatrix Lyra and Beatrix Winter also popped into my head about three seconds ago, and I love them.

To be fair to Beatrice: Beatrice Sophia Adelaide, Beatrice Margaret, Beatrice Elaine, Beatrice Amarantha, Beatrice Eve Ceridwen.

I don't have a regular Beatrice combo, but I like Beatrice Lily and Beatrice Niamh.

I like Beatrice, it's just softer and easier to say (I do like both though). With Beatrix I just don't love the sound as much bee-a-tricks isn't as pretty as bee-a-triss.

It's tough but I'm going to say Beatrice because it sounds softer than Beatrix. Beatrice Claire would be my favorite combo.

Definitely Beatrix. It just seems younger and spunkier to me. Probably doesn't hurt that I know an absolutely adorable six year old Beatrix, whereas I think of Beatrice as much more grandmotherly (not in a bad way, though!) Favorite combo is probably Beatrix Caroline.

Beatrix, it has a younger more modern feel to it in my opinion

I must say I like Beatrice more as a whole, but I like the name Beatrix as well. Beatrice is a 10, Beatrix a solid 9. I remember liking Beatrice way back when it still had the apparently incorrect meaning of "she brings happiness" attached to it everywhere. And I loved the idea of the nickname Bea. Just too cute.

I think a young person would appreciate being called Beatrix more than Beatrice, however. Beatrice is totally an older person's choice. I mean, you get an X in your name, which is something every teenager aspires to, right? ;)

I like Beatrice Sylvia. Generally I don't like similar ending-and-beginning names, but these two flow into each other so prettily.

Beatrix. The ix ending makes it older and more feminine.

I prefer Beatrice, generally. It's softer and more comfortable. If I'm ever in an edgy mood, though, Beatrix would do the trick.

Yeah, I think something short and sweet goes quite well with it.

Beatrice. I like the sound better. The -triks part in Beatrix doesn't appeal to me. To be honest I thought Beatrix was pronounced like be-ah-TRIH for a long time and I quite liked that.

Beatrize Leonor is my favorite combo.

I like them both a whole lot TBH. I slightly prefer Beatrice in the fn position but when it comes the mn, I like them both and will use which ever has the best flow with the fn.

Emily Beatrice is my favourite Emily combo which I unfortunately can't see myself ever using due to Emily's popularity :-( I do love that name though.
