[Opinions] Zed
I really like the name Zed and I wanted some other opinions on it. I know it screams GP. I do like Zedekiah, but it would be too much with my last name, which is Homayouni (pronounced home-uh-YOO-nee). I just think Zed is so hot though ... Is it too soap operaey?

I like it, but prefer Zeb.

I really quite like it and Jed and Ned too, which are obviously very similar.

I find it a bit of a nothing name because it is how I pronounce the letter z. Its a bit like Jay or Dee as a full name- kind of insubstantial. It has a cool ring to it but I would use it as a nn for a name starting with Z.

It's too Men in Black-y. Or it makes me think of some beastly biker dude. Although if it were short for Zedekiah I can see it starting to seem a bit cuter. I wouldn't describe it as soap opera-y though.

As an avid scrabble player...I can't help but see zed as a spelling of the letter Z. I know that Z is pronounced as zed in most English-speaking countries, save US. It's cool enough but I can't rid myself of that connection.

Yeah me too. I say zed for z and I'd always think of that. Maybe in America it wouldn't be so bad since they say it as zee.

It is a little soap-opera-y, but I think it's got potential. Hell, I like Rex and there is nothing sillier than that! It's an interesting name because it seems half Futuristic-Neo-Zen, half cowboy.
