[Opinions] Réonie?
Just wondering what people's opinions were. i thought it was a quirky twist on the french name Léonie and Renée to be pronounced ray-oh-nee...

What bugs me about it is the sound of rayon; as if some fabric was being described - "It's a pretty dress; pity it feels so rayony" or something. And rayon isn't my favourite fibre!
That's often the problem with invented names: some crazed industrialist has probably invented them first and used them for cow udder cream or wrinkly textiles or fizzy drinks.

Scooby Doo says Leonie
So, no.
So, no.
Maybe if I didn't know the name Léonie it would have been ok, but I just can't pronunce the r at the beginning, it is too bizarre. Or I want to say Roénie. :)
I like Léonie, but not Réonie.
It sounds like a Japanese pronunciation of Léonie (Japanese has no Ls).
Not so much. Not quirky just ... not good, imo. To me, Léonie is a classic quirky.
It's OK...
ray-oh-nee sounds beautiful but I just dont get that from Réonie
maybe change the spelling?
maybe change the spelling?
I agree I suppose :) I like the sound of it but have no idea how to spell it :D suggestions welcome ;)
I'm not a big fan of made up names, so my dislike of Reonie won't come as much of a surprise.
Apart from being made up, I find it annoying. My brain keeps wanting to process it as Leonie. But my eyes won't let it. Not good. I see Leonie so rarely here in the U.S. and now it's being *tampered* with.
Some combined names work. I love Hannelore, for example. But Reonie gets thumbs down from me, sorry.
