[Opinions] Elwryn?
How is Elwryn (EL-rin) as an elf-type name for a Cinderella character in a twisted fairy tale? (Cinder-Elwryn)

Hm. I think because of the elf thing, I'd be confused about whether the W is a vowel or not (like in Welsh). Eh-LUR-in? The "wr" with silent W isn't usually found in that genre so I think it seems a little overwrought. I'd spell it Elrynn.

No, it’s not supposed to be Welsh…though I can see why you would jump to that conclusion. I was thinking more like ‘wren’, the bird. I thought it looked and sounded pretty, but I suppose if it’s too confusing I should change it.

Yes, I see - I just thought it was unexpected to use "wr" with a silent w, and more expected to use w as a vowel. In the genre. *shrug*

It sounds good, but it looks like a tounge twister. Elryn, Elwren, Elren, or Elwrin might look easier to say.
