I was at school with a Reinette, so it seems pretty normal to me. But I don't like Ray or Rae as names or nicknames, so if there's a risk of that I'd have to hesitate.

I don't think it suits anyone past seven!
Raine is lovely, though, and perhaps something like Raine Yvette would be as good.
