I love Martha. I work with a Mexican woman named Martha (prn. MAR-ta). The only other Martha I ever remember meeting was Martha (prn. MAR-tha) Davis of the band, The Motels. I pronounce it as the bearer pronounces it. I don't foresee it becoming popular again because it is a bit dated, but who knows. I also love Marta. Between the two, I would be more likely to use Marta.
