I don't like this business of...
"belle" being added to everything. Taking a short and light consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel female name and adding "belle" is like gilding a lily or putting a silk hat on a pig, whichever way you feel initially about c-v-c-v's.
How I feel about them kind of depends on the root they're attached to, I guess. Corabelle sounds quite rural although it doesn't have any of the charm as some other names with a "country" feel (like Mamie or Annie or almost anything with the middle name Jean). It's like an attempt at elegance that falls short and just ends up a little vulgar.
Almost like Clarabelle Cow with the bow and heels and lacy collar...on a cow.

I agree . . .
Although I love my name, and it's beautiful imo, adding it to everything takes away the beauty of the combined names.
I agree 100% that it 'depends on the root they're attached to' - Mirabelle is gorgeous, I love Mira, it sounds very French and upper-class. Mira and Belle separately are gorgeous, and when they're combined they sound pretty together.
But Corabelle does nothing for me, it is very country sounding, and those names don't appeal to me.

I have a name book
that I picked up for ten cents at a garage sale. It's from the 70's and it is amazing - they invented so many names by adding "dora" to everything they could think of. And they claimed they were "common" names. It was fantastic.

Coradora
Ditto.
Everything.
Everything.
I agree with Eilis. Too many bell being put together with short names.
I prefer Cora.
It's good, although I'd prefer Corabel. Corabelle Rosemary is nice but it looks a bit long to me.
super cooool! Corabelle is way awesomer than Coralie or Coraline.
Thanks.
