[Opinions] Beatrice.

Well, there's my daughter :) who's 20. She was named after my mother, and they both enjoyed being Bea.
It's never given my daughter a moment of trouble, except that some people make Bea two syllables, which she doesn't like.
I find Ruby uncomfortably down-market.
I dislike Ellen, but Helen would be good.
June is OK, but I'd prefer Jane or Joan.

I love Beatrice. I think it is definitely usable. I don't remember ever meeting any. I dislike Bea. I prefer Beatrice with no nicknames.
What are your opinions on Beatrice?
-I think it's ugly.
Is it usable?
-Yes, but it's still ugly.
Do you know any Beatrices?
-Yes, a crack-addicted 21 year old who is the daughter of one of my mother's friends.
WDYT of the nickname Bea?
-I think it's a grandma name, like Aunt Bea from "The Andy Griffith Show." I also think it is ugly.

Although I prefer Beatrix, I do love Beatrice.
I like Bea, but Bess is my favorite nickname for it.
Of course it's usable!
I don't know any Beatrices.
Beatrice Ellen and Beatrice June are nice combos. (Beatrice Eloise and Beatrice Lilac are my own favorites. :) )

It's alright, although for me it's extremely connected to the Shakespearean one. I think it's useable. I don't know any, but I feel like I know OF a few (I seem to recall some mention of an Aunt Beatrice or something somewhere...)
I don't like Bea prn BEE, but I might like it prn BEE-a or BE-a or something.
I like Beatrice Ellen and Beatrice Ruby.

I like Beatrice Ellen and Beatrice Ruby.
I really love this name (especially because of the character in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing). Unfortunately, I think it is too fixed in a great many peoples' minds as "old" and "weird," which is why I've used it as a middle name in one of my combos (Augusta Beatrice). I do love the nn Bea, too.
