Help[Opinions] Ercole
I listed this name in my response to the exotic names post, but I was curious to see what others thought of it. It's not a name I've seen posted before. So, what do you think of Ercole? Is is usable? What would you pair it with?

I think its usable, but you would have to forever correct people as to how to pronounce it. I think its better as a middle name. Its a pretty cool name.

I like it, but I have no idea what to pair it with. I know I would go with something else Italian.

It sounds too close to Urkel, the last name of an annoying (and endearing) sitcom character. I wouldn't use it.

People remember that show? It went off the air 10+ years ago.
The pronunciation is a bit different from Urkel (although I can see the similarity). From what I've heard it's closer to ehr-COAL rather than UHR-cull. Still, I hadn't thought of that show in *years*!

The pronunciation is ehr-KOH-leh. It has 3 syllables.

I'm guessing the ehr-COAL I heard was an off Americanized pronunciation, rather than the proper Italian. I'm slightly let down - I liked the sound (and the personality) of the the Ercole I'd met.
