I want something beautiful and exotic sounding, and Ivana is the one name I keep coming back to, so what do you think of Ivana and what are some possible nick-names for it?

Apart from it not being the least bit exotic (it was the #1 female name in my generation here), it's ok. Nicknames we use are Iva, Vanna, Vanja, Ivica, Ivka.

Initially, it seemed unattractive, but it's growing on me...
Could be nn. Vana, Iva
However, looking back now, as some have said, it really doesn't need a nn... Unless you had asked, finding nns for it prob'ly wouldn't have occurred to me.

I know an Ivana but she spells it Iwona (she is polish). I think it's a beautiful name and I only have postive associations with it. In terms of nicknames that's tough because I wouldn't give it one. It's beautiful all on it's own. However, since you asked...

I like it and I don't think Ivana needs a nickname. It's short enough!

I like it. I don't think it sounds exotic, but it's still good. nn's could be Iva, Vana, Ivie
