[Opinions] Lando
I recently saw a baby named Lando. WDYT? Too Star Wars geeky to be an everyday name?

Kind of cool, actually. It might be a little too Star Wars, but I think it's still useable.

Much better than Landon! I know my brother and SIL are considering Landon, and if I end up with a nephew by that name I'm totally calling him Lando instead.

Hey, good call. Best of both worlds, even. A "normal" (ie more commonly accepted) name with a very fun nickname.
I'm not sure about it on its own, but it makes a nice nickname for Orlando.
LOL! My brother-in-law, the biggest Star Wars fan ever, pushed hard for both Lando and Anakin during all three of his wife's pregnancies. He lost each time.
I'm not into Star Wars at all and have never heard of Lando. I think it's a great name. Very fun! I think I'm falling for 'o' endings.
I like it. It the name of a Pope long before Star Wars.
I just think "land+o".
Since you put it that way it reminds me of
"Land-ho!"
I think it could work, but you would have to say "Yes (or no), I (don't) like Star Wars, but that's not why I named him that..." over and over again.

Yes, my first thought was Lando from Star Wars. It reminds me of a line in Spaced "You Lando!" (i.e. "You traitor!").
It brings a lot of things to mind all at the same time. Star Wars. The Lunar Lander. Marlon Brando. Landon with a typo.
Seems like that many associations would make people pause at introductions. And probably lots would ask if an N is missing.
