[Opinions] Polymnia
I think this name, which belonged to one of the Muses, is supremely beautiful. What do you think?Which of the following combinations strike you?ETA: Do you think it would be difficult for a child to bear? I personally don't think so, for the accessible nickname Polly is an option, and the name features no sounds or combinations of sounds that are particularly pause-worthy.Polymnia Beatrice

I think it sounds like a disease or a deformity or something... Sorry, but the first thing that came to mind was a disease... or perhaps a critter w/ many many limbs.

Polymnis is gorgeous. Definitely an underdog of a name. The only annoying part is I always want to say it as Polyhymnia, five syllables instead of four. But it's worth the effort, Polymnia is.So many terrific combos. My favorites would be:Polymnia Dorothy, Polymnia Hazel, Polymnia Lucy, Polymnia Sophie and Polymnia Victoire.

I had only seen it as Polyhymnia before, but Polymnia looks a lot less clunky.Of those I like Polymnia Ruth best. It sounds nice with something simple but strong.I really like it as a middle though, with a simple first, kind of like Tina Fey's Alice Zenobia ...Charlotte Polymnia
Ida Polymnia
Clara Polymnnia
Helen Polymnia
etc
