It is okay but it is dated and I can't stand the nns Shell or Shelly. I know two younger ones, one was my age at school and the other was an old neighbour of mine who would be about 24 now. My friend also has a younger sister named Michelle who would be about 17 or so.
It isn't ready for a comeback, it still needs a rest. I know lots of middle-aged Michelles. I don't think it is common as a mn but I imagine it will become more common as the Michelles of the the 60s and 70s become grandmothers.
