Oops! That was my mistake, I can't believe I didn't notice that when I posted as I did read through before posting. No, they were definitely boys! And yes, they're just from what used to be my local paper. I've fixed the original message now.

It's definitely getting more popular in the UK and in Ireland as well. Makes me a little sad as it's my favourite name.

Well it's at 27 in the charts (from 2008) so there are quite a few. Maybe it stands out as well because it's unusual in the US. Despite it's popularity I've never come across anyone who's actually used it though. It's a nice name and growing on me all the time.

A lot of those girl's names are overly cutesy to be a full name, I think. I do like Eliza Jane, Kitty Lila May (despite the cutesiness), Megan Amelia, and Jemima Mae. Although Mae adds too much M too that last combo. I've really started liking Jemima recently. Too bad it's pretty unusable in the US because it's a pretty name.Is Ethan catching on over there, too? I'm not a big fan of it. I like Harry Robert, Jack Campbell, and Joshua Hugh from the boy's list. Hayden Alexander looks especially American. It surprised me a bit.

Yes, Ethan is definitely catching on here. It's at 15 (in 2008). One of my university friends named her son Ethan about six years ago when it was less common.I think a lot of American boys names are becoming quite trendy here e.g. Hayden, Jayden, Tyler, Riley, Brandon etc. I've seen a couple of Caiden / Kaydens in the news lately so I think that whole trend will take off soon as well!
