[Opinions] Uncommon French masculine names - pick & combine your favourites.
As the title already stated, these are all French masculine names which vary from being uncommon to very unique/old-fashioned. All of them are featured in the Submitted Names Database, though, so you can always look up their meanings and origins there. :)Let's pretend for a moment that you are living in France and that the French government has decreed that only names from this list are allowed to be used on newborn male babies. Which of the names below would you pick for your son(s) and what combo(s) would you make? Here are the names - name nerds should have a blast with some of these. ;)

I love masculine French names but many of the names on your list were a bit too much, in my opinion. I like:
Médéric - I know I've seen this name in a book by a French Canadian writer but I can't remember the book or the writer's name.
Valentinien
Rodéric
Ésaü

UrsinIt's a shame that most of these are hard to combine with each other (both in appearance and sound), such as Rhadamanthe and Symphorien. The most satisfying combo that I was able to come up with was Rodéric Guinand Aristée (Déric for short), with Romaric Guinand Aristée (Romary for short) as a close second. An other combo that I came up with was Allard Ursin Nérée, but that one sounded too much like a standoffish old man's name. :-/ I especially wish that I could find a good combo that includes Symphorien, since that name is so unique and also beautiful in meaning and sound - but well, hopefully in the future I will come across new names that will fit well with that one. :)
