[Opinions] Re: Sybil / Sybille
I love Sybil and Sybilla. Sybil is just so goshdarned elegant, even though my main cultural associations with it are a witch (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Sybil_Leek) and Sybil in Fawlty Towers. Sybilla is so wonderfully medieval (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Sybilla_of_Normandy) and nice to say. I also have a bit of a thing for Sibylle, because I like Sibylle Baier. So hard to choose between them! but I'd probably go for Sybil, because less likely to get Billie as a nn.Sybille of Cleves has seriously flirty eyebrows. I think I love her too. Sybil Antonia / Antoinette
Sybil Edith / Editha
Sybil Edwina / Rowena
Sybil Easter
Sybil Loveday
Sybil Louisa / Letitia
Sybil Augusta
Sybil Isolda
Sybil Marion / Marianne / Marigold
Sybil Joan
Sybil Juanita
Sybil Gwendolen
Sybil Viola

The reason my mom hates it is because she thinks of a psycho woman with multiple personalities, like from the book/movie Sybil(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Ardell_Mason) - GASP Sybil's real name was Shirley?! I need to tell my mom this. Maybe it will help her not hate Sybil so much. Anyways.I really love these!Sybil Antonia / Antoinette - gorgeous
Sybil Editha - Editha never looks more apropos.
Sybil Edwina / Rowena - heck yeah
Sybil Loveday - aww!
Sybil Louisa / Letitia - Sybil Letitia is WOW. Whattabout Sybil Laetitia?!

Sybil Marion / Marianne / Marigold - love em all, naturally

Lovely combinations. Sybil Edith transports me to WWII Britain and sensible shoes chic. So romantic. Sybil Edwina and Sybil Rowena make me think of medieval times, as does Sybil Marion and Sybil Joan.Sybil Augusta makes me sit up straighter. She's a grande dame is ever there was one. :-)
