It's been two years. Louie is in kindergarten and little Bella goes to daycare during the day while Hallie works at the cafe. A little over a year ago Hallie met Kyle Abrams. After only a few months of dating Hallie got pregnant. She wasn't ready for another baby, but Kyle surprised her by being very excited about it. He made plans for them to get a small house with the three kids and Hallie let herself believe him and get excited too. Unfortunately, when it got closer for the baby to be born Kyle left her for another girl. Hallie was upset, but forgot all about it when she laid eyes on little Maxellendis Brownie Edgar Carter "Brownie" (Edgar after her grandfather and Brownie after one of her favorite blues singers, Brownie Mcghee.
